elizabeth: As I write this, Oprah’s show is in repeats. Riveting repeats to watch again and then there is the one show that started it all. Ellen gets
on the cover of O Magazine show. I see it on Oprah’s site. Ellen and her wife Portia are guests (again)and they look so happy. It is either because Ellen got to be the first non-Oprah person to be on the cover of O or is it because Portia has on a pair of very hot looking boots. I wondered if they come in my size.
Laurie: Two sides of the coin. This could be salt (and vinegar – my favorite flavor of potato chips) in our thus-far-ignored begging wounds or it could be inspiration to carry on with the cause. I remember my mother once told me when I was complaining about a particularly persistent boyfriend “Faint heart never won fair maiden.” So Oprah, our Fair Maiden, we refuse to go away.
elizabeth: I remember being upstairs, walking on the treadmill and watching The Ellen is on the Cover of O with Oprah Show. And then it came to me. Why couldn’t Coaches on the Edge be on the cover of O? Why not indeed? Had I lost my mind? Did I dare to dream this big? Obviously I did since on that fateful Wednesday 18 weeks ago Coaches on the Edge wrote their first Coaches on the Edge to be on the Cover of O Magazine blog. And we are still writing. So don’t be afraid to dream big. In our case, it might take a little longer to get Ms. Winfrey’s attention. Does anybody have Oprah’s home phone number? I promise I won’t give it out to anyone else. I don’t care who much Gayle begs.
Laurie: I’m not sure any of this disproves the fact that we have lost our minds, but “Shoot for the moon. If you fail, you’ll still land among the stars.” I’m just full of them today. And what bigger star than Oprah? Note to Oprah’s security team: We really are harmless.
