Laurie: Happy Mother’s Day, Oprah! Relax. Don’t worry; Kitty Kelly didn’t tell us that you were pregnant or had a love child in the 70’s. We know that, like elizabeth and I, you are child-free. But I was thinking you truly are a mother. Mother of the Talk Show Hosts. Mother
of the Charity-Inspiring people. Mother of the Talk-Free Zone. Mother of the Oprah Book Club. And the infinite list goes on and on. So salutations of some kind certainly are in order.
elizabeth: Talk free zone? Won’t that defeat the purpose of her show? Don’t tell me that Oprah is becoming a mime. Do we want to be on the cover of O with a mime? That’s almost as bad as being a clown or that fool who planted a bomb in Times Square this weekend. I am going to let you call Oprah mother this and mother that. I think of her as a sister. Who should let her other sisters get on the cover of her magazine.
Laurie: Mother of the Universe? Are we done yet? Butt-kissing can be exhausting!
elizabeth: Mother of the Universe? Yes, it’s almost 90 degrees today in New York so get into some air conditioning. I think the heat is getting to you because you know that I am the mother of the universe. And as Ms. Universe, I am asking Oprah to put us on the cover. Do it for all the sisters out there.
