Laurie: C’mon, Oprah, light my fire!  Oh, sorry.  I think I’m still light-dazed by the Fourth of July fireworks.  But since we’re on the The Broadway Theatresubject, Coaches on the Edge could use a little spark in these hot and hazy days.  And nothing would spark us more than having your people call our people (okay, if we’re being honest, elizabeth and I are “our people” but we are as dedicated and hard working as your people I bet) and say “You win.  The cover of O is yours.”  Now we’re talking fireworks!

elizabeth: I think I would prefer an AC humming along to the sparks on these hot and hazy days. I slipped on my own sweat the other day. Dreadful visual aside, I like the idea of an autumnal cover since our people won’t have to go buy us new outfits. Well maybe a pair of Christian Louboutin shoes so we all match around the ankles.

Laurie: We could do the red, white & blue theme for Labor Day.  We’re certainly not adverse to labor.  Picture this (pun intended):  elizabeth is walking your dogs in one of your many bucolic real estate properties.  You and I are sitting a perfectly-set table amidst the beginning-to-turn leaves in our $199 Cookie Jeans and our angora-from-virgin-Australian-bunnies sweaters and I am pouring you a cup of freshly-steeped green tea.  Puppies, trees, healthy tea, and elizabeth with a pooper scooper – I’m loving it already.

elizabeth: You always got me going to the dogs, don’t you?  I think one of our people can handle the pooper scooper. What are we paying these people for?
