BEST OF LI 2012 in the Coach category: 3RD PLACE WINNER in the LI Press

If something inside you is real, we will probably find it interesting, and it will probably be universal. So you must risk placing real emotion at the center of your work. Write straight into the emotional center of things. Write toward vulnerability. Don’t worry about appearing sentimental. Worry about being unavailable; worry about being absent or fraudulent. Risk being unliked. Tell the truth as you understand it. If you’re a writer you have a moral obligation to do this. And it is a revolutionary act–truth is always subversive.

Anne Lamott, author of Bird By Bird

The Creativity Coach’s philosophy

I became a certified creativity coach for artists and writers because I’ve learned that if you really listen, life gives you the clues to discover your blueprint for success in all the areas of your life.

Being an artist and a writer myself, I understand the ups and downs of being a creative soul. I have successfully coached many artists and writers and have had the honor of seeing them get their art or their words out to the world.

Gallery opening? New York Times bestselling book? Your own jewelry line? Let’s work together to make that a reality.

I believe that creative people are born with their gifts already in them. Creativity coaching can help you bring them out while staying true to your creative soul. Learn how to live as an artist and make a living doing what you love most.

Life has not always arrived gift wrapped, but I know it has made for a more interesting life. And I look forward to helping you live the most interesting life you can imagine

 Testimonials

Elizabeth is a sage and wise guide who brings great wallops of humor and expansive thinking to our discussions. I’ve about to create visions for myself and goals, long and short term. It’s not always easy, change is scary, but I am confident I will achieve something greater for myself.

With Elizabeth’s help, I have learned to identify my values (like choosing not to work for impulsive and damaged people!), rekindle my talents (writing and other creative avenues) and own and embrace all these abilities (this is a work in progress and it feels great!) I’ve been about to create visions for myself and goals, long and short term. It’s not always easy, change is scary, but I am confident I will achieve something greater for myself.

D. J. Dawson – multi media artist and writer

When I first met Elizabeth, her wit, humor, and ambition vividly stood out.  As a coach, Elizabeth helped me navigate through many challenges, tackle the unknowns of my career and entrepreneurial pursuits, and has been a true friend and advocate.  She knows how to make you laugh and to truly appreciate and enjoy each day’s experiences.

Jennifer Ross -  Heart Beet Cafe’ /Marketing  Strategist, Program Coordinator of MyLITV

“I found the creativity workshop to be just what I needed.  It was the answer to my writing block. Elizabeth’s approach is straight forward and pragmatic, offering tools to help the creative juices start flowing.  Whether you are trying to reinvent your creative self or take your craft to a new level, I would highly recommend Elizabeth’s workshop as a vehicle to get you going. She is quick to diagnose where the artist is struggling and quicker still to suggest possible avenues to explore. I’m still using her action plan to keep me focused and devoting time to my writing life.”

I needed wise, unbiased, and creative advice and someone to support me and have my best interest at heart. Elizabeth Cassidy provided all those things and more. Coaching for the Creative Soul continues to provide me with the encouragement I need to embrace this new chapter of my life. I trust Elizabeth wholeheartedly and value her guidance, as well as the enlightenment she administers.

Elizabeth has been such a positive force in my creative experience I am happy to share my admiration and appreciation for her. She has allowed me to see that using my time here on earth to explore my creative self and to express that self is what I need to be a complete person.
My time with Elizabeth has been inspiring, comforting and revitalizing. But it is the time beyond our meetings when I find her gifts for coaching to be the most effective. She has helped me to institute an everyday way to connect with my creative self. Although they started as baby steps that I could incorporate into my sometimes overwhelming life as a wife and mother, as time has continued, I am finding those baby steps growing into a broader gate. I am now exploring many different sides of my creative gifts and have found myself growing increasingly more fulfilled as the artist I am. Her words ring true and I often refer to her approach of taking it one step at a time.

As a result of a serendipitous meeting, I have become a part of a life coaching group with Elizabeth Cassidy. I am so fortunate to be a part of this creative coaching group. Elizabeth is supportive, caring, funny, and she sees something good and amazing in all of us. I now have more confidence and am working on specific plans to move my career in an exciting and new direction. Thank you, Universe for being instrumental in this meeting. I needed something and someone in my life to help guide me, and help me to steer myself in directions that will fulfill my potential. I am on my way, with a gentle, but motivating hand there for me. Thank you, Elizabeth.

Dear Elizabeth, I want to thank you for the clarity and focus our sessions have brought, and the fantastic results! By the time I leave for the Australia, I will have earned the extra cash to pay for my studio supplies – wouldn’t have even thought to go for it without the support, positive attitude and practical exercises that we did in the group. Now I feel ready for anything when I get back home! Thanks and best wishes

Sandra Snow, Jewelry Designer living in Australia

Elizabeth Cassidy is an extraordinary professional coach, who inspires her clients to focus on positive change, overcome obstacles, move forward, and achieve their dreams. I met Elizabeth several years ago when we were assigned to work together during our coach certification course. I couldn’t have asked for a better teammate. She embodies all of the characteristics of a great coach — results-driven guide, nonjudgmental sounding board, accountability partner, outstanding listener, open-minded and respectful supporter, and personal cheerleader. Elizabeth’s work and life experiences provide her with a unique perspective that she generously shares with her clients and colleagues. For two years, I’ve had the privilege to serve on the Long Island Coaching Alliance’s Executive Board with Elizabeth.  Her creativity, wit, and strong professional abilities are appreciated by everyone she encounters.

Lisa-Michelle Kucharz, Founder and President Ace The Race, LLC

Through her knowledge and humor, Elizabeth has given me the inspiration and support that helped me reach and surpass my initial goals as an artist. She challenges me to take a deeper look inside myself and confront the blocks (fears) which sometimes seem too high to overcome.   I am learning to overcome my doubts so that my creativity can continue to grow
