Laurie: Okay, Valentine’s Day is over. Although we didn’t hear from you, we realize that you were probably out buying cars for all your
staff in honor of the day devoted to red gifts. And Coaches on the Edge are not about to take being ignored personally. Instead we will renew our plea. There are still some groovy holidays left in February where you could give two witty and clever coaches the dream of their lives – Ash Wednesday (today), George Washington’s birthday (22nd), and Dia de la Bandera (24th – I have no idea what that is but it’s on my calendar). Short month – lotta holidays.
elizabeth: I think my pal Laurie is starting to feel desperate. But not me. I passed that desperate marker about two months ago. I am now on the upswing again. I picked up this book that I read years ago by Henriette Anne Klauser entitled “Write it Down, Make it Happen” and realized that I have been writing about what I want for over three months and I will continue until Annie Leibovitz says, “it’s a wrap. Let’s crack open a bottle of the bubbly.”
Whatever day Oprah picks for us to be on the cover of O will be our holiday and we will share it with the world. FYI – it will be a holiday where gifts will be bestowed upon us. Not a good idea to go cheap on us. You want us to tell Oprah on you?
Laurie: Now don’t get me wrong. We would never hurt your feelings by turning down a red car, but would it satisfy us like being on the cover of O Magazine? Is that a resounding “NO” that I hear? Spring chickens we’re not; we’ve had plenty of cars in our ripened mature lives. They come and go, but a cover shot on O Magazine is a once-in-a-lifetime extravaganza. Unless of course you would like us to become a regular feature.
elizabeth: Spring chickens? Ripened mature lives? What? Are our mothers going to be on the cover of O with us? Don’t be calling out those names in my direction. But you do have a point – once we are on the cover of O, could a monthly column be far behind? Coaches on the Edge, Oprah’s newest and bestest girlfriends (she does prefer me a little more than Laurie, but don’t tell her), have a column that millions go to every month for the best advice on earth.
So tell me this, what the hell does this have to do a spring chicken or a winter chicken for that matter? I’m going vegan

We got to be careful what we wish for. So I decided I needed three wishes to be granted. Some can occur in this lifetime and some can be realized in another life when all the planets line up. What the hell does that mean anyway?
