elizabeth: Laurie, did you hear that our friend Oprah (we are all children of the universe so I feel comfortable
calling her a friend until she elevates us to “special girlfriends”) is having an unauthorized biography coming out about her in April 2010. The Times of London reported that “Oprah’s life is next in celebrity ‘poison pen’ biography club.” So you know that can only be the feline fabricator, Kitty Kelley, who penned this work. I think we would like to let Ms. Winfrey know that we are at the ready with our Sharpies to black out anything that smacks of an untruth towards our next best buddy, Oprah. I think that rates a cover in O magazine because I bet not all of her legions of fans would do that for her. BTW – I will be stationed at Barnes and Noble. They have nicer bathrooms than Borders. I do so enjoy the roaming violinists outside the ladies’ room door.
Laurie: I don’t mind answering the call to save the reputation of Madame Winfrey, but I suspect she has a whole hoard of folks she pays to do that for her. And besides that, what could anyone say bad about Oprah? She forgot to smile one day? Our brilliant best gal pal has already revealed everything there is to know about her. But hey, I can kiss up as good as you. I’m sharpening my Sharpie and I’ll be outside Borders singing “We Are The World.”
elizabeth: So Ms. Kitty Kelley, please be forewarned. Hell has no fury like a couple of overzealous, edgy life coaches who long to be singing Lady Gaga songs with the Queen of Talk as we look over the proofs from our photo shoot. Don’t mess with our chances on getting on the cover of O. Meow.
Laurie: Risking life and limb here, Oprah. Are ya out there listening?
